November is a great time of year to visit Sri Lanka. Along the west and southern coasts the climate is generally dry with long hot and sunny days.
Kandy and the Hill Country destinations still have relatively higher rainfall at this time of year, but less than in previous months, with temperatures in the mid to high 20’s. Nights and early mornings can still feel a little bit chilly.
Yala National Park should be hot and dry at this time of year.
The north of Sri Lanka and the East coast come under the influence of the Northeast monsoon and experience higher rainfall at this time of year. The Cultural Triangle region also experiences higher rainfall in November.
