By June, the Southwestern monsoon is in full sway, with several days of the month seeing a heavy afternoon downpour. Given the fact that rainfall is concentrated in sudden downpours, this shouldn’t preclude a beach holiday at this time of year in the West or South Coasts of Sri Lanka – most days are still sunny and clear.
The East of Sri Lanka is much more settled at this time of year and a great alternative for a relaxing part of a Sri Lanka holiday.
