Western Cape:

This is a lovely time of year with it starting to cool off a little towards the end of the month. The temperatures around this time of year can be in the high twenties celcius and even enter the low thirties during the day. Night temperatures can drop to the mid teens.

Inland areas: Northern Cape, North West, Limpopo, Gauteng & the Lowveld

Summer remains in full swing with hot sunny mornings. From lunch time onwards, the clouds may build and in the late afternoons you can get some impressive thunder and lightning storms accompanied with some heavy warm rainfall. Towards the latter part of the month, it will start to cool off a little and what rains there are may become lighter.

Temperatures tend to be in the high twenties to low thirties during the day and drop to the high teens at night time.

KwaZulu-Natal

Along the coast it can be sunny in the mornings, with humidity quite high building with potential to develop into cloudier conditions later in the day with potential for warm rainfall. Humidity levels tend to remain high, but should start to lessen towards the end of the month.

Average temperatures during these summer months are around 32 degrees Celcius. Inland temperatures will be a bit cooler as you head up into and higher into the mountains.
