Lombok is home to some superb boutique hotels, ranging from simple boutique beach resorts to chic, luxury designer hotels.

Quite different in atmosphere to neighbouring Bali, Lombok offers a more low-key alternative and is a great destination for those looking for a quieter resort destination with a handful of very nice boutique hotels

If you're on honeymoon or want total privacy, then the private pool villa options might be appealing.

Combining a stay in Lombok with a few nights in Bali or the nearby Gili Isles is also an excellent option.
