In ancient Sanskrit, 'Jamahal' means 'precious time', and this small private estate in Jimbaran Bay has been transformed into one of the best little boutique resorts in Bali.
Jamahal is an intimate retreat ideal for a honeymoon to Bali or for couples looking for a small and very personal boutique resort in Bali.
Jamahal is something of a cosy retreat, with only a handful of villas, just 5 minutes walk from Jimbaran Beach.
Jamahal offers a choice of Garden Villas, Pool Villas and Pool Suite Villas and a shared lagoon pool meanders among the villas and through the common areas.
What’s so Special?
Jamahal is an absolute delight. The staff are wonderful and the accommodation full of character.
Jamahal’s spa, tucked away at the back of the property near the Frangipani Villa is wonderful, in a very relaxing and peaceful setting.
Now we mentioned the Frangipani Villa – for a very spacious private villa in Bali with a huge private swimming pool and lovely outdoor area, perfumed with the scent of frangipani blossom – the Frangipani Villa is ideal.
Bear in mind
Jamahal isn’t right on the beach – it’s just across the beach road and a 2-3 minute stroll away down a little lane. It’s also a small boutique resort.

Garden Suite Villas
Lovingly decorated & individually designed, the 7 Garden Suite Villas are nestled in a lush tropical oasis enhanced by heady fragrances all near to the large main swimming pool.
Some of the villas offer direct pool access or feature a large private Jacuzzi.
Many villas have four-poster beds and oversized bathrooms.
Pool Suite Villa
Enclosed by walled gardens, the luxurious Suite Villas at Jamahal feature private pools and offer complete privacy and intimacy – perfect for couples and honeymooners to Bali.
Stylish interiors feature wooden floors, selected antiques and high airy ceilings.
The Pool Suite Villas feature marbled bathrooms designed in traditional Balinese outdoor style.
There are also three larger self-contained villas at Jamahal, offering ultimate privacy.
Each of the one and two bedroom villas is beautifully designed and blends contemporary elegance and style with traditional Balinese traditions.
The villas are built with the finest building materials, such as white palimanan stone, dark merbau and strong ironwoods.
Frangipani
Exclusive and fully self-contained, Frangipani has a full-size swimming pool and lush tropical gardens.
This elegant and stylish ‘master villa’ is a special hideaway for one or two couples.
Two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and air-conditioned living room complement a spacious open-air lounge and fully equipped designer kitchen.
Banyu & Toya
These twin villas, identical in every respect and accommodating up to eight guests if connected, feature a unique blend of Balinese traditional style and contemporary architecture exploring the relationship between the primary elements of earth, water, and fire.
Spacious indoor-outdoor living areas are surrounded by manicured gardens. The separate private spa room includes an additional full bath, shower and toilette.
If required, this room can be converted into a second, stylish bedroom with a king-sized bed.
The chefs at Jamahal use only the freshest vegetables from highland gardens near the mountain resort of Bedugul, fruits and fish from local markets along with the highest quality imported products.
The cosy Lounge area serves lunch and dinner but many guests choose to dine in-villa.
Jimbaran’s famous barbeque seafood restaurants are set up on the beach every evening for sunset and are just a short stroll down the beach.

Jimbaran Bay's famous seafood restaurants are just a short stroll away down the beach and a memorable place for dinner.
Each evening at sunset tables are set up on the sand, with barbeque seafood on offer as the sun sets.
Nearby hotel restaurants for a splurge include the Four Seasons, Jimbaran Puri and Ritz Carlton.
Kuta has countless dining options and is 10 minutes away by taxi. Seminyak offers more sophisticated dining and is 20-30 minutes away, at a quiet time.
There isn't that much otherwise within easy walking distance with the exception of a small night market and the odd local Warung in the village.
